The last two months have seen some awesome add-ons, features and general goodness in the .tel world, all spurred by the nice people at Telnic.
Android App for SuperbookThe app allows the user to integrate their Android device address book with the .tel domain to get real-time access to live contact info.

ICANN, the internet's governing body, approved short and numeric names for dot tel in January. We'll keep you posted on when this will happen.

http://www.telnic.org/downloads/Image-based-adverts.pdf Template Design ContestTelnic ran a crowdsourcing contest to get fresh ideas for the templates that are rendered when someone views a dot tel via a web browser. You can review the final entries at

And all these changes are making an impact with the public. 25,000 .TELs have been sold since the beginning of the year.
