May 3rd and 4th, Western Canada's largest tech conference for higher education is coming to Vancouver's SFU Harbour Centre. This year, over 400 faculty, IT staff and students will converge to discuss innovative and smart ways to use information technology to accelerate teaching, learning and research.
The BCNET Conference 2011 is held over two days, and will feature some of the most knowledgeable people in industry technology.

Dr. Geordie Rose, Quantum Computing Technology Expert
Dr.Rose will talk about
Existential Threats and Computing Technology. He is known as a leading advocate for quantum computing and physics-based processor design, and has been invited to speak on these topics in venues ranging from the 2003 TED conference to SC08.
Steve Dotto, Canada's High-Tech Spokesman
Dotto will present
Deep Impact - Technology's Relentless March to Change He is the former host and executive producer of Dotto Tech, the "how to" technology show teaching Canadians how to get more out of their computers and digital devices.
Ron Bonig, Research Director, Gartner
Bonig will speak on
Riding the Wave of Education Technologies. He is a research director at Garnter, and was previously vice president and chief information officer at The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
