We have been talking about it for almost a year now and the new generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) (aka the new domain extensions; aka the new dots) have finally launched.
In case you missed some of the announcements we’ve made, SIX (6) batches have launched, introducing over 34 new gTLDs!
The first batch of the new domains launched on November 26, 2013. Every week since then, new domain extensions have been launching left and right, in batches of 4 to 7 new domain extensions each week!

Keeping track of all the new domain extensions
We expect that the new domain extensions will begin picking up more steam by the 2nd quarter of 2014. While no one has any confirmed dates for some of the new domain extensions, you can expect to see names like .BLOG, .APP, .SOCIAL and .WEB launch sometime in 2014.
