Maximizing your Customer Experience

As a Corporate Services Account Manager, I like to pride myself on ensuring that each and every customer I interact with has a positive customer experience and gets the most out of the products and services that Webnames.ca offers. In order to help me help you, I’ve come up with 10 things you should expect from a corporate account representative – regardless of the provider you choose!

  1. Have all of your information organized and ready before you contact your provider, this will ensure you receive fast and concise service.
  2. Never be afraid to ask questions.  Your Customer Support Representative is your ally and an expert when it comes to the products and services that they support.
  3. Do some research ahead of time.  A little knowledge can go a long way and the more clearly you can tell you representative what you are looking for the better he or she will be able to give you a solution that fits your needs.
  4. Get the right solution for you.   Your provider should be flexible and be able to provide you with the right combination of pricing and features.
  5. Some of the details of domain name management can get technical and complicated; be prepared to take notes so you can refer to them later.
  6. Get the name of the representative that you deal with.  This can help you to get better continuity when you need to follow up or if you have further questions or further issues.
  7. If you are having difficulties with your Customer Support Representative ask to speak with a different representative or their supervisor.
  8. Expect multiple channels of contact – you should be able to email, phone or write.  If these options are not available to you, you may want to consider using a different company.
  9. Be concerned about security.  If a service provider contacts you, verify that they are who they say they are.  For example, if some one calls you, ask if you can call them back at the phone number listed on their website.  And be sure that your provider can ensure that your personal information is being respected and is secure.
  10. You get what you pay for. It may cost you a little more for top notch service and reliability from a reputable company, but in the end the few extra dollars spent could save you time and money in the long run.
