- The fast track process for new IDN ccTLDs is under way, and as of November 19, ICANN has received 10 requests spread over 5 different languages.
- Three people have been charged for hijacking Comcast’s domain name in May, 2008.
- The .asia registry has announced plans to launch IDN registrations in the second half of 2010.
- Nominet, the .uk registry, has responded to a UK government bill which would include reserve powers to regulate the UK domain name industry.
- ICANN is conducting a survey on its priorities for the coming three years. The survey closes on December 30.
- Market Force Information Inc. loses a dispute over shopnchek.ca.
- Canada Safety Council wins a dispute over nationalsafetycouncils.ca.
- The Internet Governance Forum has concluded. A wide range of topics were covered, including: managing critical Internet resources; security, openness and privacy; access and diversity; and Internet governance.
