Support Pink Shirt Day on February 26, 2014!
Webnames.ca is proud to support the CKNW Orphans’ Fund Pink Shirt Day to fight against bullying. On February 26, 2014, we’ll be wearing Pink Shirts to show our support for the fight against bullying.
Bullying is a growing epidemic affecting our schools, workplaces, homes and the Internet. As more cases of bullying are brought to light, we need to take a stand against it and show our support to victims of bullying.
History of Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day started was started by two high school friends from Nova Scotia, who wore pink to support a Grade 9 boy being bullied for wearing pink to school. What started out as an idea between two friends is now a symbol against bullying.
Each year since then, hundreds of thousands use Pink Shirt Day to “make some noise” against bullying. To date, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised to support anti-bullying programs in different communities.
