The member nomination period for the CIRA Board of Directors Election has begun at noon today!
CIRA’s Board of Directors Election
CIRA is actively looking for interested individuals across Canada to apply for the two open positions for the Member Slate of CIRA’s Board of Directors Election! Canadians with governance experience and relevant background in industry, technology or the Internet are encouraged to apply.
Expertise in one of the following areas would be an asset:
- Accounting
- Law
- Marketing and communications or
- Technology
What is the role of CIRA’s Board?
The Board of Directors sets the strategy and policy to help CIRA continue to be a leading-edge organization that strives for excellence as a registry and supports Canadians in building their presence in the global digital industry.
How do I apply?
.CA Members can nominate themselves or another individual by completing the online Nomination Form from July 31 – August 13. Once nominated, Nominees will receive an email with a link to complete an online Nominee Application Form. The Nominee must complete and submit the form before 8 p.m. ET on August 13. Although only .CA Members can submit a nomination, a nominee is not required to be a member.
To be included on the Final Members’ Slate, Member Nominees must then receive the endorsement of at least 20 CIRA Members during the Show of Support stage. For 2012, there are two seats to be filled. One seat will hold a three-year term and the replacement seat will hold a one-year term.
