Afilias Acquires .MOBI Domain Registry – Afilias has acquired mTLD Top-Level Domain Ltd., the operator of the .mobi domain registry, in a private deal. Afilias is the registry operator for .info, and had already been providing registry services to mTLD. There are more than 950,000 .mobi domains registered worldwide.

ICANN Publishes Salary Information – In a document describing its compensation practices, ICANN has published salary information for the officers of the corporation. Annual base salaries are: President and CEO Rod Beckstrom, $USD 750,000; COO Doug Brent, $270,000; General Counsel and Secretary John Jeffrey, $230,000; Senior VP Services Kurt Pritz, $245,000; and CFO Kevin Wilson, $170,000. Additionally available are bonus, vacation, and health and welfare plans.
