CIRA Calls For Nominations For Board Election – The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) has a issued a call for individuals to be considered by the Nomination Committee for the Board of Directors election to be held this September. The last day for applications to the Nomination Committee is Thursday, May 29. The election will be a split ballot composed of candidates selected by the Nomination Committee and nominated directly by Members. The Member nomination process will commence on July 22.

Domain squatters are not the problem they once were. I remember hearing Phill Torrone from Make magazine saying that when they were choosing the title for their publication, they looked and found that the obvious domain was already taken.
