CIRA Conducts Survey on Internet Policy Dialogue in Canada – The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) is conducting a survey on Canadian public interest in Internet policy and decision making. The survey seeks input on: priorities and concerns around the evolution of the Internet in Canada, the best type of process to advance public debate, and linking the process to regional and international stakeholders involved in shaping the future of the global Internet. The survey is being carried out in conjunction with the International Institute for Sustainable Development, and closes on October 18.
CIRA Offers DNSSEC Testbed – CIRA is implementing a testbed for DNSSEC, the security extensions for the Domain Name System. The testbed is “for those interested in signing their own dot-ca name or interacting with a name server serving the signed dot-ca zone file.” CIRA expects to deploy DNSSEC for the .ca domain in late 2010.
