The last two months have seen some awesome add-ons, features and general goodness in the .tel world, all spurred by the nice people at Telnic.
Android App for Superbook
The app allows the user to integrate their Android device address book with the .tel domain to get real-time access to live contact info.

Short and Numeric Names
Soon, very soon, you will be able to register bb.tel and 4165551212.tel. ICANN, the internet’s governing body, approved short and numeric names for dot tel in January. We’ll keep you posted on when this will happen.
Image Based Adverts
You can now put banneresque ads in your dot tel. You can see an example of one in place on http://telmasters.tel/ and learn more about it here –

Template Design Contest
Telnic ran a crowdsourcing contest to get fresh ideas for the templates that are rendered when someone views a dot tel via a web browser. You can review the final entries at http://99designs.com/web-design/contests/tel-design-decade-63737 and Telnic should be announcing a winner in March.
And all these changes are making an impact with the public. 25,000 .TELs have been sold since the beginning of the year.
