Webnames.ca had another phenomenal year with numerous product launches and successes to be proud of. As we approach 2014, we are in the beginning stages of launching several hundred new domain extensions. We’re calling it the domain explosion! We have been preparing our systems for years and standby to advise and assist each of you through this massive change to the Internet.

New Products and Services
Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)
In January, we offered the ability to register .CA domains with French characters (accents) and other domain extensions like .COM in numerous other languages such as Chinese, Arabic, German, Turkish and many more.
Trademark Clearinghouse
In March, we unveiled our new service called the Trademark Clearinghouse or TMCH. Webnames.ca is the only Agent accredited in Canada to offer this service. This service was designed to provide businesses a means of protecting themselves against trademark infringement when the new domain extensions are launched.
In addition to trademark protection, the TMCH also provides businesses that enroll their trademarks the chance to register their domain names prior to each extension’s availability. This allows trademark holders to register domain names that match their trademark. [Learn More]
New Business Professional Email Plans
In June, we launched new email plans catered to entrepreneurs and small businesses! Our new Business Professional Email plans gave your business additional connectivity and a wide array of collaboration tools to keep your team connected.
