CIRA Nomination Committee Candidates Selected
The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) is the organization that manages Canada’s .CA domain name registry. They also develop policies that support Canada’s Internet community.
CIRA’s Nomination Committee has selected eight Candidates from a strong group
of applicants who have a broad mix of experience and qualifications to move forward in the 2012 Board of Directors Elections.
The candidates are:
Robert Brouillette – Montreal, Quebec
Ward Chapin – North Vancouver, BC
Dave Chiswell – Ottawa, Ontario
William Gibson – West Vancouver, BC
Hank Intven – Toronto, Ontario
John King – Clarenville, NL
Carole Mackaay – Montreal, Quebec
Bill Sandiford – Whitby, Ontario

Purpose of the Nomination Committee
The Nomination Committee’s role is to solicit and select qualified Candidates for the Nomination Committee Slate of CIRA’s Board Election. The Nomination Committee consists of six to 12 individuals appointed by CIRA’s Board of Directors to identify a roster of Candidates who represent the diverse geographical, gender, linguistic, cultural, and professional make-up of Canada to help CIRA achieve its mission and strategic objectives.
