February is the month of new domains!
In February, we’ll be opening registrations for new domains each week this month. The long-awaited new domain extensions have been years in the making and are finally opening their doors to the rest of the Internet.
You can register a domain name under these extensions in two different periods; during Early Access Program (EAP) and during General Availability (GA).
Here are the domains that you can expect to see this month:

When you register a domain name that you want, you can immediately use it for your website. There will be no waiting period and you can use YourBiz.Bike or YourStudio.Photography when you register your domain.
Early Access Program
If you want to secure the domain name you want before everyone else, you can participate in the Early Access Program (EAP). This period will feature premium pricing (more expensive domain registrations), but you will have the benefit of limited competition.
EAP is a 7 day period and is on a first come, first served basis.
Landrush
The Landrush Period is a 30 day period that is open to everyone. There are no special requirements during this phase, except that prices will also feature premium pricing and the benefit of limited competition. In the event that there are multiple applications for the same domain name, that specific domain will enter be auctioned off.
General Availability
If you are in no rush to secure the domain name that you want, GA is where you want to be. In GA, domain prices are standardized and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
