This month, we take a look at beansandbabes.ca We asked Jordan, founder of Beans and Babes Cafe, a few questions about their experience with Webnames.ca and how things have been since working with us. How important is your website to your business? What does it do for you?
Our website is a critical tool in helping us place ourselves in the restaurant market. The clean, upscale design of our site tells potential customers what they can expect when they visit us, and the ease of navigation helps visitors discover our many great features.
Why did you decide to invest in a new website?
I was approached by Webnames.ca and offered an upgrade on our site design and hosting platform….the price was right.
When choosing a company to work on your site what factors came in to play?
My knowledge on web design and web hosting is very limited. I was looking for a company to partner with to build a site that really reflected the identity of my company and provided me with enough input to ensure that our message wasn’t compromised.
Tell us a bit about your experience working with Webnames.ca. How was the process?
I was resistant to having Webnames.ca redesign my existing site because I really liked the site as it was. I was incredibly surprised at the how well the re-design captured our identity and conveyed our corporate message. Very pleasantly surprised.
Did you learn anything new by going through this process?
I learned how important a strong web presence is to the success of my business. As soon as the new site went live, people mentioned how good it looked. I didn’t realize how much web traffic we were actually getting.
Has your new website had any effect on your business?
Our website has drawn in people to the restaurant. We offer many specialty menu items and having those listed on our website is a big draw for business.
Is social media integrated with your website?
We have integrated social media into our website because our market is accustomed to up-to-the minute communications. We use social media flash messages to bring people to the site for the longer message (and eventually to the restaurant).
How easy has it been for you to manage your site and keep it up to date?
The site features are super friendly and intuitive. It makes it very easy to keep the site up-to-date. There are no code-languages to learn, just point and click.
What would you tell someone who was considering working with Webnames.ca on their new website?
I have recommended Webnames.ca to a couple of friends, and will always share my Webnames.ca experience.
